Stephen graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in business administration and HR and a master’s degree in accounting. After graduating, he started in public accounting handling both audits and taxation in his hometown of Chattanooga,TN.  After moving to Texas, he focused on taxation, with a small period working in industry, before finding his place was in public accounting and tax.  He has over 11 years of accounting experience, with a focus on small to medium-sized businesses.

When not at work, Stephen enjoys singing in his church choir and ensembles, playing complex board games with his friends, painting detailed miniatures, and spending time with his family.
